With a single donation of 1,000US$, IHRLG individual supporters receive membership in our Advocates Circle. We gather Circle member during the year to discuss current issues with human rights leaders, legal professionals and global policymakers involved in ameliorating human rights crises throughout the world.

At a recent Circle event, IHRLG Advocates met with Afro-Columbian human rights leaders Oscar Gamboa Zuniga, Executive Director of the Federacion de Municipios de Pacifico Columbiano; Carlos Alfonso Roseroof Proceso de Comunidades Negras; and Luis Urrutia, Former Governor of El Choco State to discuss the cruel reality of the tens of thousands of Afro-Colombians displaced by war.

Other experts featured in Circle events include journalist Elizabeth Becker (author of When the War Was over: Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge Revolution and other writings); The Honorable Navanethem Pillay, Justice on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda; journalist Iain Guest (author of Behind the Disappearances: Argentina's Dirty War against Human Rights and the United Nations and other writings); Dullah Omar, Minister of Justice of South Africa; Dr. Howard Wolpe, Special Envoy of the President and Secretary of State for the Burundi peace negotiations.
