Thierry Nlandu joined the International Human Rights Law Group in April 2000. Mr. Nlandu continues to teach at the University of Kinshasa (Department of Humanities) and is a popular educator-trainer for the nongovernmental organization Group Amos based in Kinshasa. He has over 10 years experience as an activist and trainer on various issues including human rights, rule of law, justice and peace, non-violence, free and democratic elections, and conflict resolution.
He is also involved in the production of training modules for mass education on the above themes in the form of video, animated comic strips and flipcharts. He is particularly interested in issues relating to violence against women and collaborates actively with NGO's in the Democratic Republic of Congo that promote women's rights through popular education.
