Africa/Latin America Program Assistant
Eileen Pastora, a citizen of Nicaragua, joined the International Human Rights Law Group as a Program Assistant in January, 2002. Supporting the Women's Inheritance Rights Program, Ms. Pastora assists with the organization and implementation of program activities, such as our training of trainers workshop in Ghana in June 2002. She also supports IHRLG's Nicaragua and Brazil country programs, and other Latin America initiatives including strategic lawyering within the Inter-American human rights system.
Before joining IHRLG, Ms. Pastora worked for the Puerto Rico Committee for UNICEF designing and orchestrating awareness-raising and fundraising campaigns, and conducting research in Nicaragua on the implementation of UNICEF programs in that country. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Boston College and has earned graduate credits in International Affairs from the American University School of International Service.
