Senior Program Attorney, Bosnia and Herzegovina Program
Diana Sehić serves as a Senior Program Attorney and coordinator and facilitator of IHRLG's People with Disabilities Coalition and Gender Equality Coalition. She represents the International Human Rights Law Group in the Gender Based Violence sub-group within the Office of the High Representative's Gender Coordination Group and is an active member of the OHR's Socio-Economic Coordination Group.
In 1999, Ms. Sehić was involved in the production of IHRLG's joint NGO Report on Women's Human Rights in BiH. She organized and conducted IHRLG's training on employment discrimination for legal professionals, NGOs and trade union activists. Ms. Sehić then organized and mentored NGOs in advocacy activities related to discrimination of women in labor relations -- payment of maternity leave and elimination of discrimination of women in the Labor Law in the FBiH. Both of these activities had successful outcomes. Before joining IHRLG, Ms. Sehić worked as a Chief District Attorney and as Assistant Chief Legal Advisor for the division on real estate and property for the Sarajevo Municipality.
